What do we do?

We fit DCC decoders to most locos in '00' and '0' gauge and occasionally larger scales

We fit sound and smoke to locos

We fit lights to locos, coaches and wagons

As well as the above, we do a lot of miscellaneous jobs that pop up from time to time like re-motoring your Hornby APT to improve its running

Modelyard was established in 1995 producing card building kits. These are still available from Freestone Model Accessories. We also developed loco drive conversions from the Hornby 9Fs and Brittanias until the main manufacturers "caught up" with us.

We then moved into DCC Split chassis conversion but quickly expanded into mainstream DCC conversion work which, together with a number of enhancements, is where we are now.
