Originally we had decided to specialise in fitting DCC decoders just to Bachmann split chassis locos. However so many customers asked if we could do conventional locos that we now offer these as well.
As there is nearly always less work than with a split chassis loco they are £10 less at £34 (including a high quality decoder - plus return postage).
It is a bit of swings and roundabouts here - some are very straightforward while others are a bit tricky but it would be so complex to have a price for each loco we have a standard charge. This also applies to DCC Ready locos partly because the decoder with a plug costs more and a lot of the work is removing the body (very tricky on some locos) and testing all is well after installation.
All one price £34 including decoder. We use TCS M1 or MC2 decoders. These are excellent decoders with lots of features. Have a look at them on www.tcsdcc.com
